When trying to get smart home bits working I’d often find the information available was vague or non-existent. Because of this, I decided to start this site as a place to document my projects—in the hope that it would help others trying to do similar things.
The main things that I plan to write about on this site will relate to smart home automation, lighting, gaming, and technology in general. I aim to post at least once a month—if you ever have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
The main domain of my home automation exists in Homekit. Sadly, not all products support HomeKit, so lots of my projects involve using Homebridge to expose non-Homekit devices. As well as writing up my projects, I also write articles over at smarthomestarter.com.
My background is in Broadcast Engineering, and at university I learned to code with an Arduino—that led to my Final Major Project which I’ve written about partially with my DMX Controlled Christmas Tree project.
If you want to get in contact with me—whether for a chat, product review, or assistance with a project—I’d very much like to hear from you. Drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, I look forward to your email 🙂
